Yesterday's commute was hectic. First, I had to wait for three green line trains to go by before I could fit myself on a car. Then, when I finally get to Park Street, I find that the Red Line is not running. They've put up police lines barracading all entries to the Red Line. Apparently they are running shuttle buses on the street, so I go outside and there's about 500 hundred other people all trying to get on two shuttle buses. Yes, just TWO shuttle buses. I guess more buses were on their way, but with traffic, they were having trouble getting to Park Street. Then finally, the police announce that the Red Line has reopened. So all 500 of us return to the T station. An hour after leaving my house, I finally made it to Davis Square. So what was all the commotion about? Well, some guy got "trapped under a train." I am not sure how one gets trapped under a train, but this guy did and it caused havoc on my morning commute. So that was the excitement of my Friday morning.
On a lighter note: How 'bout those Red Sox!
