It is snowing right now and it is not even November yet. Big giant flakes of snow are falling. I wonder if it will be a white Halloween.SC and I are going to carve a pumpkin. We are going to carve a big block Michigan "M" in it. I haven't had a pumpkin since like middle school.
I brought my watch to this Swiss Army Watch dealer on Newbury Street to have its battery replaced. The woman at the store told me she'd have my watch ready in 15 minutes. So I left for a bit and then came back. The woman was busily doing things with my watch.
I asked "Is my watch ready yet?"
The woman replied, "No. Someone opened this watch already and separated the parts inside," as she pointed to some broken watch parts.
"Uh. The last time someone opened this watch was five years ago when I had the battery replaced last."
"Oh? You mean you didn't open this watch?"
"No. I don't even know how to open it."
"Oh. That is the strangest thing."
Yeah, I bet it's the strangest thing. I can pretty much bet that this woman broke my watch when she tried to open it. You know, if you break someone's watch, don't make up some sorry ass explanation like "someone opened this before me and ripped all the parts to pieces." Yeah... what a likely story.
Anyhow, this woman is holding on to my watch until Tuesday. I guess she's going to attempt to fix whatever damage she's done.
