Suspicious Activity

It seems as if everyone has stopped updating their diaries. How sad.

Yesterday SC and I saw Capote at the Coolidge and then met MM for lunch at FuGaKyu. After lunch, MM and I decided to seek out the Bizarre Bazaar which was advertised in the Metro. However, when we arrived at the BAC, we were informed that the Swedish Fair, not the Bizarre Bazaar, was finishing up for the day. Apparently the Metro misprinted the day of the Bizarre Bazaar. So, since we were already in the South End, MM and I decided to visit the kitties and puppies at animal shelter.

Today SC and I both got our hair cut. While we were waiting for SuperCuts (yes I know it is very lesbian of us to get our hair cut there) to open, we decided to get breakfast over in the Prudential. While drinking and eating our Dunkin Donuts coffee and breakfast sandwiches, the alarm went off and an announcement was made over the mall intercom -- something to the effect that some sort of "suspicious activity in the retail area had been reported" and that we should calmly leave the building via the nearest exit. Of course, no one seemed to be listening to this announcement, or if they did, they chose to ignore it.

Since we thought it would be better to be on the safe side, SC and I got up to leave. As we were walking toward the entrance we noticed that the Christmas music was playing again in the main part of the mall and that shoppers were acting like nothing was wrong. We decided that the "suspicous activity" must have passed and that holiday shopping was now safe to resume.

Nothing like a little terror threat at the good ole Prudential Center.
