I'm finally home after an unecessarily long trip from Philly. My flight left 30 minutes late, which wasn't a big deal. But then, after our short 50 minute flight, we arrived at Logan Airport to find that no gate was available for our plane. So, we were pretty much trapped on the plane outside the terminal gates for over an hour. Apparently the gate we were supposed to be using already had a grounded plane that had gotten stuck by lightning (glad I wasn't on that plane). So we had to wait for a plane to depart, which of course took a whole freaking hour. I guess that is what you get when you pay $39/roundtrip.Then it was another ten minutes waiting for the baggage claim carousel to turn on, ten more minutes waiting in line for a cab, and then about fifteen more minutes with a rather scary taxi driver (when I got in the care, the driver told me that he hated those "fuckers at Logan" and that he wished he had a machine gun so that he could "shoot up all those fuckers").
Oh, the joys of air travel!
